+ DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, appointments are required. We offer comfortable 75 minute one-on-one styling consultations, which allows us to really get to know each bride and understand just what gown would work best for her. You may book an appointment online, or by calling us at 718-788-3849.

+ WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF THE GOWNS IN YOUR SHOP?

Our gown selection ranges from ~$1700 to $5000 retail, with most gowns being an average of $2500-$3000. We also carry bridal separates (tops, skirts, jackets, etc) that range from $300-$3000, totally depending on the item.

+ CAN I BRING FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We love meeting your loved ones! However, our boutique is designed to offer an intimate shopping experience and space is relatively limited, so we wouldn’t recommend bringing more than 5 people. If you are traveling with a large group or need special assistance, call us before your appointment and let us know.

+ WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

If you plan to wear supportive undergarments, a backless bra, and/or heels, it is a great idea to bring those items with you. They don't need to be the actual ones you will wear on the big day, just something to help you visualize.

Also, if you can, keep the makeup to a minimum, especially at pick-up appointments!

+ WHAT IF YOUR SAMPLES ARE NOT IN MY SIZE?

We aim to carry samples sizes that will work for most brides, but samples rarely fit perfectly. The majority of our samples are US street size 6 or 10 & as of Spring 2017 we carry size 18 samples from our flagship designer, Rebecca Schoneveld. We use our own techniques and tools to give you and your guests the clearest idea possible of how the dress will look in your size, but it may require some imagination!

+ HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY DRESS?

Our designers’ standard production times take anywhere between 12 and 20 weeks. Some designers carry stock and can have your dress to us in just a few weeks and several of them offer rush services for a fee. We will help you find the best options for your wedding date, provide you with an estimated ship date, and keep you updated along the way.

+ WILL I NEED ALTERATIONS?

To achieve a perfect custom fit, alterations will almost always be needed. We do not provide in-house alterations, but we can provide a trusted reference in Brooklyn. Please allow for 6-8 weeks for alterations. All alterations costs are separate and additional to the cost of the dress which you will need to work out directly with your alterations specialist.

+ DO YOU HAVE BRIDESMAIDS OR MOTHER OF THE BRIDE DRESSES?

We do not currently carry either styles, but we are happy to provide references or styling suggestions! Many of our designers (including Rebecca!) can make gowns in a huge range of colors, so if you are looking for a very special maid of honor gown or evening gown, we are happy to discuss these options with you!

+ DO YOU CARRY ALL OF THE STYLES FROM EACH DESIGNER YOU CARRY?

We only carry a curated selection of samples from each of the designers we represent in the shop, the exception being Rebecca Schoneveld. Schone Bride is the flagship boutique for Rebecca Schoneveld, so we do carry her entire collection.

If we do not have the sample of a style you are interested in, we can often request a special loan from our designers’ available collections. Please call us for details at 718-788-3849 or email us at hello@schonebride.com.

+ I LOVE YOUR DRESSES, BUT THEY ARE OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Sometimes our samples are available for purchase off the rack at a discount and we do have sample sales. For more information please call or email us.

+ WHAT IS A TRUNK SHOW?

Trunks shows are the one or two weekends a year that we host a wider range of an individual designer’s collection. This gives our brides the chance to try different styles from their favorite designer and gives us the chance to try out new pieces or new collections in our store.

+ I'VE ORDERED MY GOWN FROM YOU. NOW WHAT?

First of all, congratulations and THANK YOU!! We are so excited to have you be a part of our Schone Bride family! Now is the hard part- waiting for your gown. We will give you an estimated date of when your gown will be complete and ready for pick up. This date can be found on the copy of your invoice that we hand to you at the time of purchase, or is emailed to you. Please keep this receipt very handy! We will notify you via email the minute we have the gown in hand and it is fully inspected. We ask that you call to book your pick up appointment in our boutqiue, or arrange shipment of your gown (whichever the case may be for you). Please ensure you call us back ASAP for the pick-up appointment or for shipment. Weddings are very time sensative so please plan on this with your schedule. Now is also a great time to plan your accessories! They are often also custom made and require 1-3 months to produce in many cases. You can set up a separate accessories appointment with us right here. It is a wise idea to set up your alterations appointment well in advance, especially if you are getting them done during high season (late-Spring through mid-Fall).
